APP AID Mobile Prototype
Produced at: Humber College, Toronto, ON
Client: Course Instructor
Description: APP AID is a prototype product designed to work with smart
phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. It has audio and GPS functions, and
its purpose is to act as an audible task reminder, as well as a GPS tracking device
for objects. The audio function works with a small fob-like speaker/voice-command
device that can hang from the neck, can connect to Bluetooth speakers/headphones,
and can be integrated to be audible in a hearing aid. The app comes with small, adhesive
sensors to be attached to items that the GPS function tracks. While the target market
for the APP-AID is senior citizens, the product could be marketed as Necessary for Some, Good for All.
